Please Pray For Us!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Dear brothers and sisters in faith, we are but an ummah of Rasulullah [saw]. No matter what sort of beliefs do we have the title had given to us by Rasulullah [saw] as a brother to one another cannot be erased until the Day of Judgment.

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The Muslim is the brother of his fellow-Muslim; he should not mistreat him or let him down. Whoever meets the needs of his brother, Allah will meet his needs, and whoever relieves a Muslim of some distress, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever conceals (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will conceal him (his faults) in this world and the next.”[Sahih al-Bukhari]

Our brotherhood in the name of Islam had been finalized since Rasulullah’s [saw] time. We cannot deny that. This noble relationship cannot be blocked by mere nationality, colour and social status. It is Allah who reward us, if we response to Rasulullah [saw] saying, and it is also Allah who punish us once we go against His divine will.

The people of the Sultanate of Sulu Darul Islam have long been suffering from the hands of colonizers back then up to now. They were treated like this, because they don’t want to be governed by the people who are not part of their country – the Filipino. They were at war with Philippine Government for almost 40 years under the MNLF banner but the chaos didn’t subside despite of many efforts been done to address the problem.

Common Enemy
What is the prime reason why the MNLF and GRP issue could not be settled? It simply because the Filipino doesn’t like to release their Filipino brothers [Moro] to form their Independent states - not even the MILF.

Since then, the Tausug of the Sultanate of Sulu had been given inspiration from the divine realm to restore the Independence of the Sultanate of Sulu. Based on existing facts [treaties and other documents related to SSDI], the Sultanate of Sulu still Independent even up to this day. The Tausug thinks why to waste more time in fighting or talking at the table with the Philippine government when we are still Independent, respected and recognized by other countries since 1405.

The Tausug are now on the process of registering their own people into becoming the Tausug Citizens [regardless of ethnic affiliation]. Hopefully the Philippine government have no plan to counter the TAUSUG NATIONALITY campaign.

Will the Philippine government permits Sulu to be free?

To the Tausug, whether the Philippine government permit or not the government of the Sultanate of Sulu must be pursued. As PBMM Al-Sultan Bantilan Muizzuddin II said “we are not seeking approval from the Philippines, but as a sovereign country we will inform the Philippine government, talk with them in diplomatic way, that the Tausug will run their own affairs under the Sultanate of Sulu”.

To all Muslim brothers and sisters, the Tausug of the Sultanate of Sulu do want to be friend with the Philippine government and any other countries in the world, should they respect the sovereignty of this old kingdom. There is no effective solution - Insya’Allah - to the Tausug of the Sultanate of Sulu than to help them restore their unconquered Sultanate.

Brothers and sisters in faith, our purpose to write this is to ask your moral support even by just to raise your hand to Allah to make do’a [prayer] in behalf of fellow Muslims in the Sultanate of Sulu.

If our concern is lasting peace in Sulu, restoration of the Sultanate of Sulu is the answer.

La Hawla wala Quwwata illa Billahil Aliyyil Azeem.

Congratulations for hosting this Forum of ALL TAUSUG. It will serve as a vehicle for everyone to exchange and expound ideas about the history, the culture and the idiosyncrasy of the Tausug milieu of different ethnic origins. People will also get to know easily anything they want to know about the new State and what the future holds for the Tausug citizens and those wishing to do business with them. These should be an encouraging news and development for everyone. Keep it up. All the Best. InshaAllah.
